You All Die

It's quite refreshing to think that no matter how wealthy, poor, or useless any of us are, we will all die someday. In that line of thinking, we're all equal. Race, gender, Social class, none of it matters. We all die. Even the super hero's..

So here's the thing, dieing doesn't make us memorable. How we live is what makes us memorable. Knowing that we will all eventually die, should empower us too be able to live life to it's fullest.

I had a friend, more like a coach. He was an awesome guy. Inspirational, kind, and extremely passionate about the things he loved. He had a couple of kids, one of which was my age and a friend who I played football with. When I was a freshmen, my coach was diagnosed with a terminal illness after having a minor heart attack. He was given 3 weeks to live. His son stumbled upon a book during that time called,"Things I Wish I would have asked my Dad"(a book written by a man, who lost his dad as a boy). He filmed himself asking his dad the questions in the book, and played a few of the questions at the funeral. One of which was, Are you scared to die?

His answer was simple, short, but to the point. "Everyone dies, it's part of living. I'm one of the lucky ones, I know when I'm going to die, or at least I have a relative idea. I can embrace it, knowing that I have left no regrets behind." He than went on too council his son, "You, and everyone else on this earth who are healthy, have a disadvantage. You can die at any moment and leave a list of regrets, wishes, or goals unfulfilled. That's scary, not death. Live your life."

My motto on Death after watching this video, "Death is Life. Live Fast, Live fun, Leave a good lookin corpse"

Eventually, We all die..
